GENERATION PLANT

Uspallata is an Andean city in Argentina, near the border with Chile. It is known for its nearby desert mountains, such as the Cerro de los Siete Colores and the Cerro Tunduqueral, with its Inca petroglyphs.

Las Bóvedas, egg-shaped clay ovens, were built in the 17th century to process gold and silver from the Paramillos mines. Nearby is the petrified forest of the Araucarias de Darwin Paleontological Park, with an elevation of 2040 meters above sea level. The Edemsa company is in charge of the distribution of electrical energy that serves 11 departments in the province of Mendoza.

In order to meet the demand and generate an energy backup, Edemsa relied on ComAp controllers and their solution in the Uspallata thermal generation plant, Mendoza, adding a new generator with ComAp technology that would provide a power of 512kw to the Genset system already existing. The aforementioned plant is a power plant to reinforce the existing line. We thank once again the trust of our customers and users.
