Dual Fuel System in Mining Locomotives
Vale is one of the largest mining companies in the world. Their mining operations are focused on iron, nickel, coal, and copper, among others.
Vale decided to apply the ComAp Bi-Fuel system to 2 of its locomotives to certify one of its rail routes as green due to the reduction in greenhouse gas emissions resulting from the Bi-Fuel conversion. These trains traverse the Amazonian states of Pará and Maranhão in Brazil.
