Power Plant Control System of Uspallata Generation Plant

Uspallata is an Andean city in Argentina, near the border with Chile. It is known for its nearby desert mountains, such as Cerro de los Siete Colores and Cerro Tunduqueral, with their Incan petroglyphs. Las Bóvedas, egg-shaped clay kilns, were built in the 17th century to process gold and silver from the Paramillos mines. Nearby is the petrified forest of the Araucarias de Darwin Paleontological Park, with an elevation of 2040 meters above sea level.

To meet demand and provide an energy backup, Edemsa relied on ComAp controllers and their solution at the Uspallata thermal generation plant in Mendoza, adding a new generator with ComAp technology that provides 512 kW of power to the existing genset system. This plant is a power station to reinforce the existing line.

The company Edemsa is responsible for the distribution of electricity that serves 11 departments in the province of Mendoza. We once again thank our clients and users for their trust.
