The Mar Sur is a Japanese-origin vessel, built in 1973, which was completely remodeled in Bahía Blanca – Buenos Aires, preserving only the original hull and engine room. This comprehensive remodeling included the modernization of all onboard systems, ensuring that the vessel meets the highest standards of efficiency and safety.
The vessel is equipped with two fully automated generator sets with InteliGen Marine controllers that operate in parallel according to load demand. These generators are designed to automatically adjust to the vessel’s energy needs, optimizing fuel consumption and reducing equipment wear. The critical load consists of the refrigeration compressors, which ensure that the product remains in optimal condition for further processing upon arrival at the port.
