Cryogenic Gas Plant Control System

In order to operate sustainably, Buquebus owns its own gas liquefaction plant in San Vicente, Buenos Aires, Argentina. This plant produces up to 84 tons of liquefied gas per day and has a storage capacity of 200 tons.

For the handling and processing of gas, the plant is equipped with the latest technology, ensuring efficiency, safety, and environmental protection. This significant private investment was executed with state-of-the-art technology. The plant’s goal is to generate Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) to supply the turbines of the ferry “Francisco.”

Such plants adhere to stringent safety protocols and standards. Buquebus entrusted Servintel to control and monitor various plant processes and systems, including the fire fighting system. The fire pumps for this facility were implemented using InteliDrive – Fire Pump Controller (ID-FLX FPC).

Additionally, the power generation management, comprising three 1.5 MW transformers for grid input, two 2 MW CAT GAS generators, and a 250 kW emergency generator, are controlled by a customized energy management system designed for this application.

This highlights the level of safety and sustainability that Buquebus is committed to in its efforts to remain a global leader in sustainability.
