Hybrid Microgrid Control and Monitoring System at Granja San Rafael

Granja São Rafael, located in Rio Verde, has pig breeding facilities and a factory for the production of pig feed. The São Rafael Farm has a 270 kW solar energy generation system and two 50 kW biogas generators (from swine waste).

Servintel implemented a solution that allows the solar energy system to operate in parallel with the generators in the event of a grid failure. This solution ensures that solar energy generation is limited, preventing the generators from operating with a load below 30% of their nominal power.

Additionally, the system reads important values from the three inverters of the solar system and makes this data available for remote monitoring via WebSupervisor. This remote monitoring ensures efficient and continuous management of the energy generation system, providing real-time information on performance and allowing proactive adjustments to optimize operation.
The integration of solar energy with biogas generators not only maximizes the use of renewable resources but also improves the sustainability and operational efficiency of the farm. This hybrid system allows for greater energy resilience, ensuring a constant and reliable electricity supply even in situations of grid failure.
The implementation of this hybrid microgrid at Granja São Rafael reflects a commitment to innovation and sustainability in the agricultural sector. By utilizing advanced monitoring and control technologies, Servintel has provided a robust solution that supports both sustainable food production and efficient energy resource management.
