Hybrid Microgrid Control and Monitoring System at Photovoltaic Solar Field
At the Antofagasta de la Sierra photovoltaic solar park (PSFV) in the province of Catamarca (Argentina), owned by the provincial energy company EC Sapem and the firms Air Total and Energy Partners, a hybrid solution was implemented.
This system allows diesel generators to work in parallel with renewable (solar) energy. This new photovoltaic/diesel park has a solar power capacity of 600 kWp and two CAT C18 generators of 660 kVA each.
Our hybrid solutions are ideal for reducing the generation cost of a fossil fuel-based power plant, injecting renewable energies while maintaining the security and reliability level thanks to the diesel generators in response to the variations in renewable generation.
