Control and Monitoring System for Power Generation at ‘Los Penitentes’ Ski Center
EDEMSA (Empresa Distribuidora de Electricidad Mendoza S.A.) is an electric power distribution company that has been serving 11 departments in the province of Mendoza (Argentina) since August 1, 1998.
It was created under Provincial Law Nº 6498 and Regulatory Decree 197/98. EDEMSA supplies energy to 449,115 users, covering an area of 109,908 km². It has high, medium, and low voltage distribution lines and operates 5 thermal power plants.
This plant serves to reinforce the existing line during the high season.
In the event of a line failure, it can supply power to the ski resort with load control.
