Control and Monitoring System for Power Generation at ‘Los Penitentes’ Ski Center
EDEMSA (Empresa Distribuidora de Electricidad Mendoza S.A.) is an electric power distribution company that has been serving 11 departments in the province of Mendoza (Argentina) since August 1, 1998.
It was created under Provincial Law Nº 6498 and Regulatory Decree 197/98. EDEMSA supplies energy to 449,115 users, covering an area of 109,908 km². It has high, medium, and low voltage distribution lines and operates 5 thermal power plants.
The aforementioned plant is a power plant to reinforce the existing line during high season.
And in case of a line failure it can feed the ski center with load control.
